About Us... 

Instructional Development and Multimedia Unit (IDM), as it is known today, has been in operation since the inception of Politeknik Sultan Idris Shah ( f.k.a Politeknik Sabak Bernam) in 2003. 

Headed by the IDM Officer and supported by, presently, two technicians, IDM is established for the purpose of offering the services to all the units and departments within the organisation. IDM functions as a supporting unit in designing and developing the instructional materials and to provide the teaching aids to lecturers for teaching and learning process. The unit also provides audio, video, photo and graphic facilities for the staff to conduct curricular and co-curricular activities as well as official programmes in and outside the campus.

Vision:

To lay the foundation for awareness in utilising multimedia and technology facilities in order to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.

Missions:

• To consolidate multimedia technology in teaching and learning
• To lead the lecturers in using multimedia technology to produce a more effective resources for teaching and learning
• To upgrade Multimedia Aided Teaching (MAT) resources
